Hi,After a crash that made the filesystem useless, I've reinstalled my hurd without initializing the partition with mke2fs, just e2fsck under Linux and rm -fr. Unfortunately, when working with the newly-installed system sometimes some files become character devices. rm them gives something like Operation not permitted. I "solve" these cases by mv file /tmp.
Has somebody ever experience something like that? Perhaps we should be more complete in filling new inode's fields?
Regards, ogi
