An utterly appropriate observation: I hoped that the ``Niches for the
Hurd'' discussion would provide us with something definite to tend to,
but it doesn't look like it has happened...

Sounds very nice :-) I think it is sufficiently generic to satisfy
everyone :-)

I think this mission statement suits GNU/Hurd very well and I think it
should go on the Hurd web front page so that the newcomers know what
their effort is spent on.
