URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?26914> Summary: Add an option to enforce limits to increase stability Project: The GNU Hurd Submitted by: arnebab Submitted on: Di 30 Jun 2009 08:07:44 GMT Category: None Severity: 1 - Wish Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: None Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Reproducibility: None Size (loc): None Planned Release: None Effort: 0.00 Wiki-like text discussion box: _______________________________________________________ Details: It would be nice if it were possible to set user-limits as provision until a proper resource accounting framework is implemented. The goal is to make the Hurd stable enough for the everyday use of more people - and for that a faulty program should not be able to crash the whole system. This wish is a followup on the email by Olaf about system stability: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-hurd/2009-06/msg00135.html _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?26914> _______________________________________________ Nachricht geschickt von/durch Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
