I don't consider that horrible.
Anyways, you can't expect perfect aesthetics in view of varying
defaults. It's not the web author's responsibility to make it look nice
for people choosing unusual defaults. (Or with different levels of
functionality implemented by browsers.) It's the web author's
responsibility to keep it *usable* no matter what the
defaults/functionality, though.
