I guess this is an answer for the latter part of that question, as I can not find a patch to fix the issue with hurd+glibc-2.7 that I had.Allan McRae, le Sun 10 Jan 2010 19:59:01 +1000, a écrit :Is there another patch for glibc-2.7 to fix this or, even better, a patch-set for a newer glibc version? You can peek debian's patchset.IIRC there is one.
I can not find one in the latest Debian glibc-2.7 package I could find (in Lenny) and squeeze and sid both use glibc-2.10 variants that do not need that patch. As Lenny was released about the same time that patch hit cvs/git, I am guessing that a patch was never needed for this particular issue.
Then again, I could be entirely wrong and missing it completely... Trying to compile other software indicates a newer glibc would be helpful anyway, so I am going to focus on getting the cross-compiler to work with glibc-2.10.
Thanks, Allan
