Update:
emacs generated by all compilers gcc-4.4, gcc-4.5 and gcc-4.6 fails at
mode.el. With -O2 and -O1 a segmentation fault happens, and with -O0 the
error is due to an illegal instruction.
Other architectures and OS-es compile emacs 23.3 successfully. Looks like a
Hurd specific problem!
