I see in the dmesg of RIP Linux
Adaptec aic94xx SAS/SATA driver version 1.0.3 loaded
scsi: <fdomain> Detection failed (no card)
Emulex Lightpulse Fibre Channel SCSI driver 8.3.0
...
sr 4:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0
lspci reports the same as for Svante.
