Hmm. While I'm not thrilled for GNU package not to adhere the the GNU
Standards (I'm sure you know
<https://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/html_node/Standard-Targets.html>),
I also agree that it's kind of silly to have an empty/noop target.
Don't you think "we" (;-) should also work to have at least a somewhat
sensible check target for the Hurd, eventually? Not providing an empty,
like you suggest, may actually help that, I believe.
