Since Samuel won't be able to make the Christmas party, and honestly 
the 23rd won't work quite so well for me.  How about we have a New Year's
Party?  We'll make it Saturday December 30th.  How about 3pm UTC (which is
10am EST)?  That time should work for our American, European, and Russian 
friends!  And we could invite anyone to join in the festivities.
