If indent appears on savannah and/or sourceforge,
I might be able to help a bit...
If my views do not mismatch with other people's views that is... :)
For the parsing, if lex/yacc (i.e. flex/bison) are not powerful enough,
it might be interesting to have a look at sglr
(http://www.cwi.nl/htbin/sen1/twiki/bin/view/SEN1/SGLR)
which is free software developped by a research team in amsterdam,
and is pretty much more powerful than lex/yacc technology.
