I have downloaded the mit-scheme and tried to install it. But there
are some problems and I don't know how to solve them.
Can you please be more specific about precisely what you did? In
particular, please specify at least the URI of what you downloaded and
a transcript of the commands you used to install it. (On Unix
systems, there is often a command `script' that helps you to record
these transcripts.) In general when describing problems like this,
you should specify (1) exactly what you typed, (2) exactly what you
saw, and (3) exactly what you expected to see.
It seems there are some libs that don't exist in my machine. I don't know
how to do about it.
My guess is that you got mit-scheme-20090107-ix86-gnu-linux.tar.gz and
followed the instructions at
<http://www.gnu.org/software/mit-scheme/documentation/mit-scheme-user/Unix-Installation.html>
to install it, but that you don't have the libraries against which the
executable was linked. If this is the case, try the instructions at
<http://www.gnu.org/software/mit-scheme/other-unix.html>.
