No. If the partition table is somewhat broken (and parted doesn't
like it), then you can access the partition directly ;-)
This works through the virtual "loop" disk label. See
libparted/disk_loop.c
BTW, I intend to fix the alignment issue... (which is why he can't
use /dev/hda)
