I am interested in increasing my swap partition. I would like to do this
without having to reinstall so, I would like to do it right, by asking someone
here for some __good__ advice.
Here is what my current layout looks like.
address@hidden parted]# ./parted /dev/hda
GNU Parted 1.4.18

Using /dev/hda
Warning: The operating system thinks the geometry on /dev/hda is 4865/255/63.
Therefore, cylinder 1024 ends at 8032.499M. You should check that this matches
the BIOS geometry before using this program.
(parted) print
Disk geometry for /dev/hda: 0.000-38166.679 megabytes
Disk label type: msdos
Minor Start End Type Filesystem Flags
1 0.031 15.688 primary ext2 boot
2 15.688 38162.219 extended
5 15.719 149.040 logical linux-swap
6 149.071 38162.219 logical ext2
1=/boot
5=swap
6=/
I would like to increase the swap from 136M to at least 1G.
Any suggestions are welcomed as I am new to this tool and would prefer not to
have to re-OS my box cause I forgot that one easy step.
