Sorry, no, I'm just a Dutch translator but know that translation
teams can be hard to reach... If you wish to take over the German
translation of parted, send Karl a mail again, <address@hidden>.

posted there today, so he's alive, but doesn't post often.
Looking at
http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/registry.cgi?team=de , the
German team seems to have only three active translators left, so
they would be glad to receive a new active member, even if only for
one package. Complaining about the quality of a translation won't
help as long as nobody steps up to do the work or provides patches.
