I've just committed a bunch of fixes, and some command line utilities for merln.
With this checkin, merln is generally useful. You can now use scope to fill the database for a host with snmp queries. You can use merln-put to manually put things in there, merln-hostlist will let you know which hosts have been registered, and merln-query will let you query specific oids.
With these tools, I now have sufficient tested functionality to build the docbook generator.
Jamu - You've got eperience with Xerces. Do you recommend it for building XML trees in memory? My brief flirt with it suggests that I should look for gnome-xml or something like that. I'm also not sure if it's GPL friendly.
Tks,
Jeff Bailey
