sh-utils printf enhancements

Hi,

I want to submit the attached changes for sh-utils.  I added numbered
argument support for printf format strings, since I needed this for some
internationalized stuff I'm working on.  I used the printf with
sh-utils-2.0 as a base.  I also added a printf unit test case, since
it's not so trivial anymore.
