I installed stow 2.2.0 from here: https://launchpad.net/~dns/+archive/gnu in
Ubuntu 12.04.
When I try to specify a relative target either with a .stowrc or with -t, I
always get variations
of this error:
~/s/stow-files> stow --verbose=3 --target=../../testlab/stow
--dir=$HOME/suckless/stow-files gnuplot
stow dir is /home/user/suckless/stow-files
stow dir path relative to target ../../testlab/stow is ../../../..
cwd now ../../testlab/stow
cwd restored to /home/user/suckless/stow-files
cwd now ../../testlab/stow
stow: ERROR: The stow directory ../../../.. does not contain package gnuplot
(No such file or
directory)
Seems to me it can't handle relative paths as target, when I use an absolute
path it works fine.
