Dotfiles option doesn't work with directories

I am not sure to what extent people on this mailing list track the GitHub repository at https://github.com/aspiers/stow. In case you do, feel free to ignore this message.

In case you don’t, this issue (https://github.com/aspiers/stow/issues/33) has been around for years at seems to impact a lot of users. People are wondering whether the project is unmaintained, which I don’t think it is, but I would like to verify with this email.
