Hello,
tar-1.15.x output format seems to be different from tar-1.14.
Here are the steps to Reproduce:
1. Run the attached shell script (fscheck.sh) on a non-dir_index'ed
ext3 filesystem (i.e. tune2fs ^Odir_index <device>).
2. See the result.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
address@hidden:~$ ./fscheck.sh
Checking for the filesystem ... NG
Hmm, packaging may not be done properly on this filesystem.
Would you please try again on a default filesystem, thanks!
Happy packaging!!
Quitting...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no problem when tar-1.14 is used:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
address@hidden:~$ ./fscheck.sh
Checking for the filesystem ... OK
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you please let me know the reason why these archives created by
tar-1.15.x are binarily different compared with using tar-1.14, and
how I can get "OK" using tar-1.15.x.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Regards,
TAMUKI Shoichi
