[Bug-tar] Problem with GNU Tar (make process)

Hi,

I am trying to install GNU tar 1.16.1 on a Solaris 9 box, V440.

getting the following error during the "make" stage,

$ make check
source='xheader.c' object='xheader.o' libtool=no \
DEPDIR=.deps depmode=none /bin/bash ../build-aux/depcomp \

What could be the issue?
