[Bug-tar] WG: id-tuilts, lid: can't fork: Function not implemented

Dear gnu team,

 

I installed the GnuWin32 id-utils version 4.0 on my windows XP computer and encountered a problem when using the eid alias.
I would like to open all files found in an editor (vi) but eid gives the following error message:

lid: can't fork: Function not implemented

 

I set the environment variable EDITOR and VISIBLE to gvim.exe (tried both, gvim.exe only and whole path) but that didn’t help.
I also tried it in both the cmd.exe and the bash shell. Could you please help? It would be great to get that gorgeous tools running
on that damned OS. Thanks a lot!!
