AKSHAY - If there is no limitation on the number of files we can tar
then how the tarring failed? Could it be because we reached the max size
of the file supported on the system. In my case I am trying to tar 81000
PDFs.

Depends on the underlying file system.

Do you mean multivolume archives?

AKSHAY - I want to ask, in case there is a limitation on the tar file
size or on the number of input file (argument to tar), then is there any
option which will overcome this issue.
