The following command consistently crashes for me (FreeBSD 6.3):
/usr/local/bin/gtar-1.19 czf - --format=ustar original
... many messages about long link names and long file names ...
Abort trap: 6 (core dumped)
where 'original' is the directory attached to this email.
If I remove --format=ustar, it no longer crashes.
