If the code for ACLs and Linux-xattrs was not reworked, it is expected not to
work correctly. We discussed this some time ago already.
You may like to use star instead:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/s-tar/files/ for "stable" releases" or
https://sourceforge.net/projects/schilytools/files/
star has tested ACL + Linux-xattr support since 2001.
