why not run the requested command and send us the log then ?
it's been a long time since i ran OS X, so i don't recall if
dtruss includes a log output option, so you can try like:
  sudo dtruss -f sudo -u $USER rm -fr confdir-14B-- >log 2>&1

then compress/attach the "log" file here.
