Subject: | [Bug-tar] tar-1.28 make check failure |

Hello; tar-1.28 make check requests that I send you its test log. I am building Linux From Scratch on a virtual box machine (osx host) from a very minimal arch linux installation. uname -a says: Linux arch32Vbox 4.2.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Oct 27 08:28:41 CET 2015 i686 GNU/Linux I have currently at 6.65 of the Linux From Scratch book. Note that I am building on a partition of 8 gigabytes in size, and that the failure appears to be here: # -*- compilation -*- 128. sparse03.at:21: testing storing sparse files > 8G … I have been deleting extracted folders, as per the LFS instructions, but will keep the tar folder. I am going to (perhaps naively) assume, that as my entire partition is only 8GB, I should expect this failure, and proceed with LFS. Thank You Ketil Wright |
