Subject: | Auto compress zstd does not compress |
Date: | Sat, 17 Sep 2022 00:10:49 -0400 |
Hello,
I am trying to use the -a / --auto-compress flag for tar.zstd archives and it seems to work at first, but the file seems to just be uncompressed tar. As a result, file-roller fails to open it. Using tar 1.34
As a side note, this seems to be the behavior anytime auto compress doesn't detect the compression. Is this desired behavior, or would it make sense to throw an error or send a warning to stderr?
