I think @ commands should be accepted in float names. At least accents, and
"should", yes, but this is basically the same problem as supporting
accents in node names, anchor names, etc., ties into 8-bit input,
different fonts, blah blah blah. Not going to happen soon, at least not
by me.
maybe the same than the commands accepted in nodes. I attached a file with
Commands are not accepted in @node names. Yes, Eli implemented a hack
that allows some of them in some contexts, some of the time, but there
is no official support for command names in node names, period. I am
pleasantly surprised if it works, and it's not a bug if it doesn't.
Anyway, thanks for the report, as always. I agree in principle ...
