Agreed. I didn't know Adobe glyph list name. In my command name
proposition, I proposed [lr]gq [lr]gqq with inspiration from LaTeX
german.sty definition, where German quotes are called \g[lr]q \g[lr]qq;
maybe these names could be defined in Texinfo too...

AFAICS in LilyPond manual, a macro is defined to output lsquo and rsquo
in all output formats, and the following for TeX output works well:
@macro q{TEXT}
`\TEXT\'
@end macro
I don't understand what other glyphs rsquo should be disambiguated with.

You're right. I don't know when the single (left or right) guillemet
could or should be used, but adding it won't make any harm anyway.
