This is Debian on an IBM POWER9 server :

Maybe something to do with specifics of POWER9, I guess it could be
somewhat peculiar.  Also the gcc seems very recent to me, could also be
that.

Could you please send the log file of any of these failed tests, for
example

tp/tests/nested_formats/test_log/texi_nested_formats.log

Does no one test anything anymore on stuff other than RHEL on x86_64?

[ rant ]
I am willing to bet the RHEL on POWER10 stuff works flawlessly but no
one posts the changes back upstream.

Just as soon as I have a POWER10 in my life you can bet I will be doing
testing and work and getting that monster to serve open source goodness!
