[Bug-XBoard] I can't start the xboard!

    My OS  is Linux debian 2.6.17-2-686 #1 SMP Wed Sep 13 16:34:10 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux.

     I try to use  'xboard  -debug',and the following is :

xboard 4.2.7
 + gnuchessx

recognized 'normal' (-1) as variant normal
