[Bug-XBoard] problems installing winboard

I have  downloaded both

 <winboard-4_2_7a.exe> and <xboard-4.2.7.tar.tar> to my pc, but neither would open and/or proceed smoothly to install the program. For example, the former runs for a while, opens a dos window and starts the installation, but then stops and announces:

 

setup is unable to open a program needed to proceed with the installation. error number  105.

 

ISSET_SE caused a General Protection Fault in Module KRNL386.exe at 0001.AFB2

 Can you please help me out? what kind of a problem is it?
