I could run the tests on an AMD 64 machine (linux-unix-gnu-x86-64).
BTW: if we include something like the output of "make bench"
in the test reports uploaded to the web, we will get a
"Chicken run" for free :-)
It will show which combination of
- cpu
- OS
- chicken version
- csc options
- C compiler version
- C compiler options
...
runs fastest.


Coming back to 64 bit: the maze benchmark eats up all the memory it can get
and then stops:

"out of memory - heap full - execution terminated"

Even the following is not enough:
./tmpfile -:h1264m
