We have also now made a development-snapshot available, which can be downloaded 
here:

        
https://code.call-cc.org/dev-snapshots/2024/12/09/chicken-6.0.0pre1.tar.gz

You can build directly from the contained sources and don't need to bootstrap
anymore.
