Not according to the files I have. AWTEvent depends on
java.util.EventObject.
I removed the AWT 1.0 stuff to get the AWT compiling
(which was far more important than the AWT 1.0
support). I have subsequently been able to test it
(with the GTK peers), unfortunately there are problems
with the peer handling. It shouldn't take *too* much
effort to fix.
