Hello!
There is a bug in java.lang.Double class. The problem is that string
".3" is not recognized as a valid floating point value. According to
Java language spec it should be.
Here is test class:
public class DoubleBug
{
public static void main(String[] args)
{
System.out.println(".3 -> "+ new Double(".3").doubleValue());
}
}
Sun's implementation prints:
.3 -> 0.3
Classpath 0.03 + ORP 1.0.9 prints:
No Java handlers found
Uncaught exception:
java.lang.NumberFormatException: from Java_java_lang_Double_doubleValueOf
at DoubleBug.main
It if was in Java code I would have fixed it myself, but it is native
code problem. Any chances to fix it soon? My project would run 100% on
ORP/Classpath if not this one bug :-(
Bye,
Max
