Some anonymous french tipster asked me to send out a note about
subscribing and unsubscribing from these lists:
These lists are controled by 'mailman', and can be controlled through
both email and the web.
Web based subscription and unsubscription:
Go to http://mail.gnu.org/, click on the link for mailing list subscriptions.
You'll be given a list of all of the mailing lists on this server.
Choose that link.
To subscribe, fill in your information as appropriate. To unsubscribe,
key in the email address at the bottom of the page. You can ask it to
send your web password after this page. Once logged in, you can change
all sorts of options about the mailing list.
The email interface is done through the address:
address@hidden, so:
address@hidden or
address@hidden
Put the word subscribe or unsubscribe in the body of the message. IIRC,
you can put the word help in there, and it will send you the list of options.
