I am not sure if things have changed at all since I asked a similar question in April, but if not,
here is the question and answer:

I suggest using 3.1.3-rc1 for 2.6.32. You can download it from the
full file list:

http://dazuko.dnsalias.org/files/

Although 3.1.3-rc1 is a release candidate, it does not contain any
changes that would make it less stable than 3.1.2. And 3.1.3-rc1 works
with 2.6.32 (and 2.6.31 if I remember correctly).

I have not so far bothered to upgrade to Lucid  from Karmic.
If this works (or doesn't), I would like to know.
I would also like any impressions you have of Lucid, aside from the
flashy obvious new stuff (new look, music store, me-menu, ...)
The former (especially if it doesn't work), ought to go to address@hidden,
where I'll get it anyway.  The Ubuntu stuff you can send me personally, as it really
doesn't belong on the mailing list...
