fonts warning!!!help!

hi
i installed ddd but i can't choose program to debug. File->Open Program and 
click the directory, no file name listed in the filter. and it just gives me 
the following warnings again and again(i also can't choose fonts in 
edit->preference->font):

        warning:
                name:....
                class:XmTextField
                Character '\xx' not supported in font. Discarded.               
        

help me!!!!!
