Hello everyone! Has anyone considered translating the ddd program into other languages? The Translation Project might be well-suited to take on this task. I suggest that we prioritize the translation of ddd and at least enable it to have the functionality or permission to be translated through the Translation Project.
While I appreciate the value of internationalization and support for people who speak different languages, there are some technical issues with this suggestion. DDD is an old program built using Xt and Motif, both essentially obsolete GUI technologies. Our priority is to replace this with more current technology, likely GTK.
You are welcome to download the DDD sources and add support for internationalization. I do not know whether there would be differences in implementation of I18N depending on the GUI platform. We will be happy to integrate this into a future DDD release.
