Cool. I thus close the bug report, and mark it \"Invalid\".
=================== Bug #116: Full Bug Snapshot ===================
Project: Sourceforge for Debian
Category: None
Severity: 5 - Major
Bug Group: None
Resolution: Invalid
Assigned to: lo-lan-do
Status: Closed
Summary: Number of user differs
Original Submission: I just installed 2.6.09 on my woody box and registered a
few users. The total number of current user is 4 but if I see the front page
before login, it shows the number of registered user as 3. It shows 4 after I
logged in.
Thanks very much....

OKAY!
After some time, now my debian-sf box shows the number of user correctly. I was
too impatient to wait for... :-)
Thanks anyway for letting me know the detail!

My first guess is that this is a cache problem.
The number of users as displayed on the front page is cached. In fact, the
whole upper-right block is cached. So you might want to wait for the cache to
be refreshed if you want precise numbers. Should you want this cache to be
refreshed more often, you just have to edit the first entry in
/etc/cron.d/sourceforge.
If this is not a cache problem, then please report, and I'll investigate
further.

Comment:
I suspect the debian-sf does not count the user "None" if I am not logged
in...but count it after logging in.
If I search a people "None" from the search box, it does show its name but if I
click it, it says
"Invalid User
That user does not exist."
