I think gdb uses telnet or ssh, and everything else uses rsh or ssh...
I guess that's one reason switching to ssh was attractive: it
let me use a single protocol for everything (interactive execution,
batch execution, and file transfer).
Say, Ryan, what are you using for file transfer?
