Yes, let's call it chord2lilybaseduration to make it clear.
We can always wrap baseduration and dots inside a chord2lilyduration()
if that is what we are using a lot in a script, whereas it would be
inelegant to start splitting up the string "4.." into "4" and ".." for
example.
