I've checked in code to make the mouse selection behave as it does on
other programs.
In addition, custom mouse clicks are now promoted to full shortcut
status: just as with a keyboard shortcuts you can define mouse
keypresses with combinations of Control, Shift, Alt, Penguin, CapsLock,
NumLock of your choice to cause actions of your choice. They are
displayed next to the menu item as a reminder & can be saved to your
command set (aka keymap) file.
Still to do, setting these from the Command Management dialog. At the
moment you set them by right-clicking the menu item (holding down the
shift/control... key of your choice). You can set plain mouse clicks,
but then the command runs every time you click in the drawing area - I'm
not sure if this would ever be useful.
