Mmm, I was rather fearing that - this dynamic loading of plugins stuff
would add complication to the building of Denemo. (I am looking at the
links you gave, I see that there is conditional code needed for windows,
more stuff to be located correctly at run time etc).
Since I haven't got much competence in this area, and none in creating
user interfaces via helper tools I am not well placed to either
encourage or discourage you. Perhaps Jeremiah will have a more informed
opinion on the application of GUB to generating plugin stuff.
Another thought: perhaps the most valuable part of such work would not
be the code glade generated but the design of the interaction with the
user. If this existed on a branch in our git, it would be a
straight-forward job to implement the design in the existing code by
writing the widget creation code by hand in C. (Tedious, but
straight-forward).
Ah - I see I missed the line in your email about your account on
Savannah - if Jeremiah can set up access for you then you could create a
branch for this new work and then we can experiment with this stuff.
