It is very difficult to know. I would be tempted to replace the Denemo
sources in your build with a gtk-hello-world program and see if that
worked - you could just insert one of those sample main() functions that
you see on the net that just pops up a window with a button. Insert this
at the start of main  and everything should build but only this short
program will execute.
If it fails then you know the build is not working properly.
