I've downloaded
http://denemo.org/~jjbenham/gub/uploads/denemo-mingw-2.0.1.zip
and unzipped it, the usr\etc\gtk-3.0 directory doesn't have the
settings.ini file and it doesn't show up elsewhere in a windows search
thing. 
I tried it out and got the blurry font, then I copied it in and then the
zip file works with the crisp typeface,
