Follow-up Comment #4:

There is a strange dotted rectangle that is cutting off the edges of the
button widgets in your screenshot. What you should see is the pane filled and
scroll bars appearing if there is more to see.

Did you build Denemo-2.2.0 from source or is this a binary downloaded from
denemo.org? In the former case please can you execute
denemo --version 
at the command line and give the output?

If the latter, which binary? It would be good to know how

behaves (you have to untar it and then execute Launch_Denemo.sh)
 as this doesn't depend on installed libraries.
