Follow-up Comment #3:
Actually, a better way to create your own default is to use the Initialization
Script which is run every time you open Denemo.
To see this script use View->Scheme Script
and then in the File menu of this window choose Open Initialization Script.
Now you need to place a command in here to install your preferred bar number
alignment. In the Score Properties Editor you can find the bar number
alignment directive you have set and get its script into the Scheme window.
(At present I can't see an option to do this in one step, instead it seems you
have to create a button for it and then get the script for the button into the
Scheme window. I'll try and fix this).
Then you use File->Save and then each time you start a new file this
preference will be installed.
