Change root note while using Insert chord palette?

Subject: Change root note while using Insert chord palette?

hello, if I'm entering chords in a chord staff using the insert chord palette (from View-> Palettes -> Select a palette-> Insert or append chords), how do I sharp or flat the root note so that it affects the whole chord?

For example, in the key of F if I click on the middle B line in the chord staff and press the diminished 7 button in the palette, it creates a Bb dim 7 chord. How would I change that to a B dim 7 chord? Do I create the chord manually by first creating the root note, sharping it, then using the Insert key to create the correct notes for the chord quality? Is there a faster way? I tried sharping the root of the Bb dim 7, but that didn't change the rest of the notes in the chord appropriately.

thanks, George
